Rest In Peace Pete
You are and will be sadly missed by all who knew you.
For my brother
We were like two trees that grew side by side, shaped by each other’s presence. Although we may have grown separately, and differently, we did so as a pair growing from the same patch of earth. If one of the trees is felled, the other may be able to grow to fill some of the space, but will never fully occupy it. There will always be a part of me looking for his support and companionship.
(These words were said at Pete's funeral on 21/6/10.

young Pete
I went to primary and secondary school with Pete and was quite close then but have lived in Italy and Belgium for the past thirty years so haven't seen him for a long time. I did phone him once though about 5 years ago when we were organising a school reunion (he didn't come because he said he hadn't enjoyed school much). I suppose he has sold his wonderful collection of Superman and Batman comics that we used to read at his house. He also used to have some good Airfix models but I think he told me that he decided to set fire to them. I also remember a time when we went camping with the youth club near a ford somewhere. I think it was in an old church (it was a Baptist youth club). We made a fantastic dam in the stream and almost flooded the place. I can't remember where it was exactly. His Dad used to cut my hair sometimes although I didn't enjoy haircuts then as much as I do now. From the photo it looks like black-haired Pete didn't have much hair left either. He was also keen on photography and I still have somewhere some photos that he took. I would have liked to meet up again but it is not to be I suppose. Condolences to Dave. I am sure you will miss him.

Gone but not forgotten
Farewell to a polite quiet man, one of the best.
Cheerio fella, Martin Woodley
You will certainly be missed, but I am sure that you are at peace having being taken from us so suddenly.
Peter doesn't have any gifts yet. Why not be the first to add one?
